made my first butter yesterday. Used 600ml whipping cream & got 227g butter – about half a pound. Sweeter & more fragrant than I expected & still glistening with buttermilk. Now in the frsssidge while I decide what to have it with first. Really ought to be still-warm crusty bread, with perhaps a hint of rosemary, or cheese scones, or crumpets with rhubarb & ginger jam.
