Finally visited Arbury Hall – I’m thinking of describing it in my novel.  Yes, its impressive & one of a kind & over the centuries, they’ve amassed some nice things – you can find all that out yourself.  But I have sat writing by the secluded table under the tree, where George Eliot sat writing.

Sarah & Esther have clocked up hundreds of miles of paddling training, just getting ready for their 440 mile canoe race down the Yukon – now less than a month away.  their blog is at http://bearlyscared.blogspot.co.uk/  the race page is at http://www.yukonriverquest.com/ with a link to the race tracker via on board transponder.   in the wilderness, there tends not to be a mobile signal.

hope there’s enough water by then – on 12 May, the Yukon was still frozen!

Don’t think there’ll be many Alderman Smith Old Girls who’ve tried this.

Craft Fair POster

I’ve booked a stall at a Craft Fair in Nuneaton on Saturday 3 September.   I’ll be taking honey & jams etc with honey, pamper products with honey & beeswax, as well as some craft fashion items.  Hoping also to give kids an opportunity to try rolling candles from beeswax.  I’d love to see old friends & if anyone can stay long enough to give me a comfort break, even better.
